Hailing from Chicago, Jack Lavin has been a mainstay on the Vancouver blues scene for nearly 50 years. Founding member, bassist and major songwriter of Powder Blues, Jack led the house band and hosted jam sessions at the Yale for a decade and has performed with a who’s who of legendary blues men including Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal, Robert Cray, Lowell Fulson, Pinetop Perkins, Otis Rush, John Hammond, Long John Baldry, and lots more.
