New for 2023! Admission to the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival is FREE. Tickets will not be required for admission however the event site will have a capacity of 9,000 attendees.
The event site has a capacity of 9,000 patrons.
Re-entry will be permitted to the site as long as you have an event issued wristband.
On Saturday, August 12, gates open at 1 pm. Gates will close once the site is at capacity (9,000).
There is no public parking available onsite except for those guests with SPARC passes. Please consider using public transit, taxis, bicycles, ridesharing or an offsite parking lot.
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided from:
BCIT parking lots D, E, F and G
Bike racks will be provided at the Main Gate.
The park walkway is wheelchair accessible, and accessible seating will be available on site.
SPARC permit parking is available at the Shadbolt Centre in the surface lot as space permits.

Beer and wine service are available onsite with last call at 8:30 pm. You must be of 19 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages. Please be prepared to produce 2 pieces of valid ID, including 1 photo ID. There are ATMs on site.

Feel free to bring a refillable water bottle to use at our water filling stations.
Most food and merchandise vendors accept credit cards.

If you are interested in being a food vendor at our outdoor festival, please send us a letter listing the previous events or festivals you sold at, a photograph of your booth set up and a menu with prices. Contact foodtrucks@burnaby.ca or 604-205-3046.
Lawn chairs are permitted. Please leave all tents, tarps, umbrellas or wagons at home.

No, there is no smoking or vaping (including tobacco and cannabis products) permitted in Deer Lake Park.
Animals are not permitted on site with the exception of working service animals.
