Speed Control

Young people with aspirations to be rock stars will have their chance by taking part in Rawk Camp with Yukon-based rockers Speed Control, culminating with a performance at the 2019 Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival on Saturday, August 10th.

The goal of this week-long program is to grab onto the love of music and learn how to have fun performing with other musicians. No experience is required and participants will take part in group lessons on individual instruments including guitars, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals. Following the camp, the new musicians will join Speed Control on stage at the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival to perform their latest hits!

Camps are open for registration and are available for participants 8-11yrs and 12-24yrs and begin on Tuesday, August 6 at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.

About Speed Control:

Straight out of -40 degrees in Canada’s Yukon, comes the power trio Speed Control with super tight, riff heavy, harmony rock. Steeped in a jazz and classical background, they have turned to their true passion – rock n’ roll.
