and gospel influences that have won her a large and
loyal audience since first coming to prominence with
her 1998 breakthrough album, Just Won’t Burn.
Steve Riley &
The Mamou Players Growing up in the prairie town
of Mamou, where music was played by nearly everyone,
accordion and fiddle player Steve Riley was destined
to become a musician. Over the years he and fiddle player/singer
David Greely, with whom he has formed the Mamou Playboys,
have been keeping the tradition of Cajun music alive,
inspiring countless other musicians and turning every
event they play into a celebration.
The
Be Good Tanyas The Be Good Tanyas (Sam Parton,
Frazey Ford, Trish Klein) have been keeping Vancouver
on the folk- roots map since the release of their 2001
album Blue Horse. Chinatown, the folk-roots trio’s

tours, both headlining and opening for people like Lucinda
