Smokey Robinson:Lake Stage - 8:50-10:00pm
The legendary “King of Motown”, Smokey Robinson
rose to fame in the 1950’s with the formation
of his group the Matadors, which later became the world
famous Miracles. While with The Miracles, Robinson also
worked behind the scenes, composing and producing for
the group and other Motown artists, contributing to
the success of Motown Records and helping advance the
popularity of soul music. In 1972, Robinson went solo,
creating a more mellow sound for himself. As both a
member of The Miracles and a solo artist, Robinson has
recorded 37 Top 40 Hits, received the Best R&B Male
Vocal Performance Grammy Award for “Just to See
Her” and been inducted into The Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Sharon Jones & the
Dap-Kings:Lake Stage

Keb’Mo’:Lake Stage - 6:00-7:00pm
Keb’ Mo’ adopted his better known stage
name when he was a young guitarist who became inspired
by the force of the Delta Blues and its essential African-American
legacy and storied bluesmen before him. Mo’s music
is a purely post-modern expression of the artistic and
journey that has transformed the blues over time. His
distinctive sound embraces multiple eras and genres,
including pop, rock folk and jazz.
David Lindley:Garden Stage - 5:10-5:55pm
Multi-instrumentalist David Lindley performs music that
redefines the word "eclectic." Lindley, well
known for his many years as the featured accompanist
with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X,
has long championed the concept of world music.
Raul Malo:Lake Stage - 4:20-5:05pm
On Lucky One, his first album of original material in
seven years, Grammy winner Raul Malo has shed his musical
shackles. Clearly, followers of Malo’s eclectic
career - both with the Mavericks and after - know he’s
always chafed at placing any confines on music.
Tinsley Ellis:Garden Stage - 3:30-4:15pm
Hard-rocking blues-soaked guitarist/vocalist/song-writer
Tinsley Ellis sings and plays with the energy and soul
of all the great Southern musicians who have come before
him.
JJ Grey &
Mofro:Lake Stage

Grey comes from a long tradition of Southern musical
storytellers and, like the best of the great Southern
writers he fills his songs with details that are at
once vivid and personal, political and universal. From
raw funk to deep soul, blues and rock, JJ and his band
Mofro deliver devastating live and recorded performances.

Short stories deliver brief but indelible journeys,
much like Oh Susanna’s latest release of the same
name. Over the last 10 years, Canadian raised Oh Susanna
has garnered critical acclaim and loyal audiences around
the world with her intimate songwriting skills and stirring

Rich Hope and
His Evil Doers:Garden

and his erstwhile tub-thumping partner the Cleethorpes
Crasher aka Adrian Mack into their own idiom. Their
