PARKING
IMPORTANT: NO PUBLIC PARKING
AVAILABLE IN VICINITY
Festival-goers are encouraged
to use alternative modes of transportation such as public
transportation, taxis, carpools, bicycles (bike racks
on site; bring own locks) or ride the FREE Lynch Bus
Lines shuttle from BCIT (Pay parking in effect at BCIT-see
below) .
ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE:
On festival day at 12:00pm, the RCMP will implement
a road closure on Deer Lake Ave. between Sperling Ave.
and Century Park Way. The road closure will be in effect
until approximately 10:30pm that evening. During this
time, all public vehicle access will be restricted to
dropoff and pickup and SPARC permit holders.
Dropoff/Pickup Zones:
There will be a designated drop-off/pickup zone at the
west end of Deer Lake Ave. immediately east of the Burnaby
Art Gallery entrance. Access this area from Deer Lake
Parkway.
Handicapped Parking:
For vehicles displaying the blue SPARC handicapped decal,
parking will be available in the surface NORTH parking
lot at the Shadbolt Centre. Access this area from Deer
Lake Parkway.
FREE SHUTTLE
A free shuttle service with Lynch Bus Lines will be
offered between BCIT Impark Student Parking lots N (Purple)
and O (Brown) and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts North
Lot. Please be advised that the cost to park your vehicle
at the BCIT Lots is $4.50 for the day
and your vehicle MUST display a ticket.
(BCIT Impark Lots are situated near the intersection
of Deer Lake Parkway and Willingdon Ave. - please refer
to the map link below). The first shuttle will leave
BCIT at 12:00pm and the last returning shuttle will
leave the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts North Lot at
approx. 11:00pm.
NOTE: There is limited space on the
bus for large items such as coolers or strollers.

ACCESS
Lot N (Purple Zone) – access from Willingdon Ave.
northbound or from Lot O
Lot O (Brown Zone) – access from Deer Lake Parkway
eastbound or westbound or from Lot N
TRANSIT
Once Deer Lake Ave. is closed at 12pm, buses will not
enter Deer Lake Ave. Plan to use bus service to and
from Burnaby City Hall bus loop or stops on Canada Way
close to the venue. . We strongly advise that you research
the Translink site (www.translink.bc.ca)
in advance and refer to the Trip Planning tool so that
you will know what your options are for your bus trip
to and from the Deer Lake Park venue. You can also view
the Deer Lake Park vicinity roadways on “Google
Earth” or a regular Burnaby road map to find your
walking route from Burnaby City Hall and Canada Way
bus stops. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience
caused by the interruption of bus service.
CAR OR CARPOOL
Should you choose to drive your vehicle (not recommended
due to critical shortage of public parking) to the general
vicinity of Deer Lake Park, please refer to www.mapquest.ca
or click “maps” on the Google homepage for
specific directions from your location. Once in the
Deer Lake Park area, be sure to read and regard all
street signage or you will be subject to fines and vehicle
towing. See important “Road Closure”
notice above.
BICYCLE
• Bicycles will not be permitted inside the site
but bike racks will be available close to the Main Gate
and the West Gate on a first come, first served basis.
Owners must provide their own locks and leave bicycles
at their own risk.
