How do I get there?

As parking is not available on site, except vehicles with SPARC Decals (please see details below), we encourage you to take public transit (visit www.translink.com for details); ride your bicycles (bike racks on site are located by the main entrance); or take a taxi/catch a ride. There will be a designated Drop-off/Pick-up Zone in the angled parking stalls on the north side of Deer Lake Ave. directly across from the North Lot at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.

Where do I park?

Should you decide to drive, carpooling is a great option as well. There will be parking provided at the BCIT parking lot at Lots D, E, F, and G, located at Canada Way and Willingdon Ave. It is $5.25 to park for the day (access from Wayburne). Shuttles start at 10:30am and run throughout the day with buses returning back to BCIT throughout the course of the day. BCIT Parking Map 2016
Parking for motorcycles may be available in the surface lot at the Shadbolt Centre as space permits. Please access westbound from Deer Lake Ave. and Canada Way.

I have a SPARC decal, where do I park?

SPARC permit parking (handicapped) will be available in Shadbolt North Lot as space permits. There will be special needs seating available on site. Should you require special needs seating, please contact the Shadbolt Centre Box office at 604.205.3000 where arrangements will be made for you.

What can I bring to the festival?

You can bring low back style chairs that are not more than 8” in height from the ground. Please note higher chairs must sit in the back to avoid obstructing the view of others.

You can bring your own blankets. Maximum blankets size for an individual is 6’x3’ and for a couple is 6’x6’.

You can bring coolers. Maximum cooler size is 22” long x 15” high x 15” wide. Coolers that are larger than permitted size will not be allowed on site.

There are other items you may want to consider bringing such as refillable water bottles, water bottles that are commercially sealed, sunscreen, hats & sunglasses, rain jackets and ear plugs.

Can I bring children?

Yes, children 12 and under are free. The Blues Family Area is open between 1:00pm-7:00pm. Children must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times. There will be fun activities such as Guitar making, art activities, face painting and play structure (alcohol is not permitted within this area).

Please note: All children need complementary tickets, please call the Shadbolt Centre Box Office at 604-205-3000 to arrange.

Will there be food at the Festival?

Yes, a variety of food and beverages can be purchased from vendors on site. There is also beer and wine service. You must be of 19 years of age to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages and produce 2 pieces of valid ID where one must be photo ID.

Where do I pick up my tickets?

If you have ordered your tickets online, you can print them at home. Call 604-205-3000 for assistance. Alternatively, you can pick up your tickets at the Shadbolt Centre Box Office during box office hours.

All unclaimed tickets will be held at WILL CALL at the Main Gate on the day of the Festival for pick up. Pick up available beginning at 10:00am

What is there to do on site?

There will a family area with kids’ activities. There is also the Blues Market, variety of Food Vendors and you can cool off in the Misting Tent.

What time does everything start?

The gates will open at 12:00pm Noon and Festival ends at 10:00pm
